This year's raffle fundraiser was a success.
Congratulations Julian of Massachusetts on winning our
2023 EV Raffle for the Climate!

Julian told CCAN Action Fund that he didn’t consider himself a lucky person until “the day CCAN pulled my ticket!” His favorite thing about his new Tesla is “not having to go to gas stations.”

He also told us: “We live in the climate. Humans for now only have one collective home. It’s important we make it last for generations to come.”

Congratulations, Julian!

About

This raffle helps our scrappy non-profit raise funds to fight climate change. It’s a win, win, win. It was the 5th annual electric car raffle sponsored by the Chesapeake Climate Action Network Action Fund (CCAN Action Fund). And all proceeds go to fund our non-profit mission to save the world.

The mission of CCAN Action Fund is to create a world where electric cars, wind farms, and rooftop solar power are the norm in society. If you win, you can kiss high gas prices goodbye today while helping us build a pollution-free world tomorrow.

Proceeds from the raffle fund the work of Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) Action Fund. CCAN Action Fund is the advocacy arm of the Chesapeake Action Network, which renown author and climate activist Bill McKibben called “the best regional climate change organization in the world.” Our mission is to promote clean-energy and transportation policies across the Chesapeake region and the nation.

Did you know that cars, trucks and other forms of transportation account for nearly 30 percent of America’s climate pollution? We’re raising awareness of better transportation options by raffling an electric vehicle. The proceeds from the raffle will be used to push for cleaner transportation policies at the state and federal levels. Our goal is to make compact electric cars affordable for everyone. This online raffle is safe and secure. CCAN Action Fund’s nearly decade-long track record makes us one of the most well-respected groups working on climate.

Anyone can win! Last year’s winner was Alex Kubacki of North Carolina. His family loves their Rivian R1T. Alex told us: “The original reason I entered the raffle was to put my money towards a good cause with no intentions. I never thought I was going to win! But this is a truck, sports car, and adventure vehicle all in one. My family loves it!”

Thanks to Alex and other ticket buyers, CCAN Action Fund is able to do great work year round. We helped pass the “The Promoting Offshore Wind Energy Resources Act” in Maryland and “The Affordable Energy Act” in Virginia. We’ve also worked on Capitol Hill in D.C. to pass the Inflation Reduction Act for historic clean energy investments nationwide.
