Bike Back Better: Bike tour of Charleston highlights benefits of Build Back Better for WV

The Build Back Better Act will help West Virginians. It will keep children out of poverty, expand healthcare, make prescription drugs more affordable, and provide cleaner, more reliable energy.

To highlight the many benefits of Build Back Better, West Virginians are going on a two day bike tour of places in the greater Charleston area that need Congress to pass the Build Back Better Act. The bike tour will be December 13th to 14th, and will involve stops that tell stories about solar installers, parents, patients, and more.

Stops along the tour will include:

  • December 13th: A press conference highlighting West Virginians who benefit from the Child Tax Credit and are calling on Congress to pass the Build Back Better Act before the CTC runs out in January.
  • December 14th: A press conference at 11 am at the offices of Revolt Energy, a WV based solar installation company. We will hear from the people working to solve the climate crisis, and from those who have witnessed the impacts.
  • December 14th: A press conference calls attention to the need for the healthcare expansion and prescription drug affordability policies in the Build Back Better Act. We will hear from WV health advocates and from people whose finances have been damaged by exorbitant prescription drug prices.

West Virginia will be better off once the Build Back Better Act passes, and this bike tour will tie together the many ways this stand stands to benefit. If you would like to learn more or participate in the bike riding or any of the press events, please email Jamie DeMarco at
