What elections are coming up in Maryland?

Statewide, Marylanders will choose the next governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. All members of the Maryland General Assembly—both state senators and delegates—are also up for election.

When can I vote on Election Day?

Election Day is November 4th. Polls will be open that day from 7am to 8pm.

How can I vote by Absentee Ballot?

Click here to see if you qualify and find the full guidelines for voting by absentee ballot. Your request for an absentee ballot must be received (not just mailed) by Tuesday, October 28th if you want to receive your ballot by mail or fax, or by Friday, October 31st if you want to download your ballot from the website.

What identification do I need to vote?

Most voters will not need to present any forms of ID. However, some first time voters may be asked to show ID before voting—either a valid photo ID or a copy of a recent utility bill, paycheck or other government document showing your name and address.
